Your Loan Partners

There are multiple agencies that you will be dealing with in the course of applying for and repaying your Susie Mae loan(s) – your lender, your guarantor, and your servicer.  Your lender (Susie Mae) provides the funding for your loan, your guarantor insures your loan against death, disability, and default, and your servicer provides customer service and account management services, such as collecting your monthly payments.  In some instances there may be overlap among these agencies.  Knowing the agencies involved in the administration of your loan(s) and their roles will be beneficial in helping you effectively manage your Susie Mae loan.

  • Your Servicer - Susie Mae has partnered with two student loan servicers - EdFinancial and Granite State Management and Resources (GSM&R).  This means that you will be working with one of our servicer partners for the repayment of your Susie Mae loan(s).  If you are not sure where your loan is being serviced, you can call our office at (800) 237-9721, ext. 442 or check online via EnRoute.  It is extremely important for you to stay in touch with your servicer throughout your inschool, grace, and repayment periods.  Remember to inform your servicer of any changes to your address, phone, or other personal contact information.
  • Your Guarantor - CSLF is most likely the guarantor of your Susie Mae loan.  However, Susie Mae does work with other guaranty agencies throughout the nation.  If you do not know who your guarantor is, you can check online at the National Student Loan Data System (NSLDS) for Students.

If you have questions about your Susie Mae loan, you may login to EnRoute, call our office at (800) 237-9721, ext. 442, or email customersupport.
