Stafford Loan - Electronic Master Promissory Note Instructions

In order to accept the Federal Stafford Loan listed on your Award Package, all new student applicants
and first time borrowers should complete an electronic Master Promissory Note (e-MPN). This document
will assist you in completing this process. Please read this information carefully and follow the
instructions provided. This process will take approximately 15-20 minutes to complete. You must
complete the entire process and will not be allowed to save partial information.

Before you begin, please have the following available
- Your FAFSA PIN issued by the U.S. Department of Education.
If you have lost or forgotten your FAFSA PIN, visit
www.pin.ed.gov
- The name, address, and telephone number of two adult references (living in the United States), not living at the same address.
The first reference must be a parent (if living), legal guardian, or adult relative.

To complete your e-MPN:
- Visit
www.cslf.org/enroute
- Create an EnRoute User Profile
Click the Create an EnRoute User Profile link under the Borrower's section of the page.
- Select - Apply for a Loan
- Select - Apply for a Stafford Loan
Once you have successfully created a user profile, click Apply for a Loan / Apply for a Stafford Loan.
- Complete your e-MPN
Follow the steps identified to complete your e-MPN application. You will be required to provide your consent, read applicable documents, and complete the borrower information.
- Student Authentication
Once transferred to the Student Authentication Network (STAN), you will be required to enter your FAFSA PIN to confirm your identity.
- View Application to Obtain your Confirmation Code

Enter your confirmation code here. You will need this code to enter your signature.

- Signature
You must sign your e-MPN by entering your four digit confirmation code.
- Submit Application
Once your identity has been authenticated and your e-MPN has been signed, submit the application for processing.
- Print Application
- Complete Entrance Counseling
Once your e-MPN has been completed, you will be provided with a link to Mapping-your-future to complete Entrance Counseling. Entrance Counseling is required in order for your loan to be disbursed.

You may access your account information or obtain a copy of your signed e-MPN via EnRoute 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
