According to The College Board, college tuition and fees for the 2007-2008 academic year increased between 4.2 to 6.6 percent from the previous year. On average, the 2007-2008 costs for tuition and fees of a four-year private institution were $23,712. At a four-year public institution the average was $6,185. These figures do not include room and board. Remember that financial aid is available for those who need it. You can’t afford to pass up a college education.
