Career Opportunities

The truth is that many occupations today require some type of postsecondary education (education after high school). A college education usually brings more career choices and a greater number of job opportunities. You may discover that your time in college is an opportunity to refine or even re-define your career interests.

The higher your education, the more marketable you will be. Your college education will provide you with better qualifications. With the right preparation, you will be able to apply for jobs of greatest interest to you and hopefully land the job of your dreams. According to a U.S. Department of Labor survey, unemployment for individuals with at least a bachelor's degree was half the rate of those for people with only a high school diploma. A college education increases the likelihood that you will have a more prestigious job with better working conditions. Education opens doors.
