Scholarships

Scholarships are granted to students based on merit or special abilities. This money does not have to be repaid, but may require that you meet certain criteria (such as maintaining a minimum grade point average, continuing in a particular major, playing sports, etc.). You can apply for scholarships through your high school guidance office, college financial aid office, and private or community agencies. Click here to link to free scholarship searches and information.

Scholarship searches do take time and effort but, like your education, the investment will be worth the effort you put into it.

WATCH OUT for these warning signs of fraud when conducting scholarship searches!
  • the service guarantees that you will receive a scholarship
  • the scholarship search company requires a payment from you
  • the service promises that you can't get this information anywhere else
  • the service promises that you won't have to do any work
  • the service requests a credit card or bank account number to "hold the scholarship"
