Routinely check your credit report

Your credit report is a record of your past and present financial behavior as a potential borrower and consumer. It lists your creditors (past and present) and their balance, minimum payments, and any late payments. Checking your credit report annually allows you to discover and correct discrepancies in the report before they negatively affect your financial future. Every year consumers can obtain a free credit report from each of the three credit bureaus listed below at www.annualcreditreport.com
