Most colleges have their application on their Web site and you can complete it online and submit it electronically, or download it and submit it by mail. You should also consider using the Common Application, an application that approximately 300 colleges are currently using with many using it as their only application. Be aware that some colleges may ask for a supplement to the Common Application so read the instructions very carefully. The Common Application is available at www.commonapp.org.
Important Tips for Submitting Your Application
- Be aware of application deadlines and stay within them.
- Have your transcripts and test scores sent to each college
- Follow up with the admissions offices to find make sure your application is complete.
- Keep copies of all submitted applications and correspondence.
